In celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Museum exhibit The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad, the B&O is hosting special programming on Sunday, January 19 and MLK Day, Monday, January 20.

Programs include a lecture and discussion about the life of Thurgood Marshall by Rev. Alvin C. Hathaway Sr., a scheduled From Slavery to Civil Rights tour, and kid-focused educational activities throughout the weekend.

10 AM – 4 PM: “I Have a Dream” Educational Activity for Children in the Roundhouse
1 PM: Free Admission to the Museum Begins 
2 – 3:30 PM: Lecture and Discussion by the Esteemed Rev. Hathaway 
3:30 PM: Lite Refreshments

Monday, January 20

The Underground Railroad exhibit particularly made an impression. You can learn about the enslaved people who passed through Mount Clare Station as their last stop before reaching the northern states. Sobering and inspiring stories.
