As part of monthly programming for our exhibit, The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad, experience a special performance by Howard University’s Department of Music live in the B&O’s historic Roundhouse.

They will be accompanied by Howard University’s award-winning Afro Blue Ensemble. The dynamic jazz ensemble has received wide critical acclaim throughout their 21 years of existence. They recorded and produced Henry “Box” Brown’s song about his journey for The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad exhibit.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase on site.

$20 Adults | $10 all students (18+ please bring student ID) | FREE for B&O Members

The Underground Railroad exhibit particularly made an impression. You can learn about the enslaved people who passed through Mount Clare Station as their last stop before reaching the northern states. Sobering and inspiring stories.
