The B&O Railroad Museum has created an inclusive and safe atmosphere where all visitors are welcome and supported. In order to accommodate for members of the community who identify as neurodivergent, the B&O is dedicated to offering sensory programming throughout the year and routine accommodations on any day of the year.  

We are investing in making the B&O Railroad Museum a space for everyone! 

On specific days, there are opportunities for sensory-friendly train rides on the Mile One Express, sensory-friendly tours led by one of our trained staff members, and access to resources provided by organizations within the community who support families with special needs children. 

In addition to the five stationary sensory kits located throughout the B&O Railroad Museum, Mobile Sensory Kits are available for checkout at the front desk to decrease sensory overload with tactile and calming resources while out exploring our campus.
