The B&O Railroad Museum hosts a handful of fun events throughout the year that attract many visitors. These events are perfect for volunteering with a friend, a child/grandchild (14+ with a parent/guardian), as a group, or to knock out those remaining community service hours before graduation.
Volunteer assignments for each event vary, but may include:
- Greeting and checking in guests
- Running the kids craft & activities tables
- Facilitating kid activities (yard games, moon bounce, etc.)
- Helping direct special photo lines for pictures with the likes of Thomas the Train, Sir Topham Hatt, Santa Claus, and more
- Helping guests board and exit trains
- Assisting guests at the information desk
