Nurse Etna, our B&O nurse-stewardess, is thrilled to safely welcome you to the Museum!
Masks are optional at the B&O for guests, staff and volunteers, in alignment with the lifting of the mask mandate in Baltimore City on March 1, 2022.
We care for the health and safety of all visitors and staff while still maintaining a fun and engaging space. Our campus spans 40-acres and the Roundhouse is an open-air facility. Below is the Museum’s plan to continue keeping our visitors, staff, and volunteers safe.
COVID-19 Policy
Possible exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present. The B&O Railroad Museum cannot guarantee that guests will not be exposed to the virus during their visit.
The CDC advises that older adults and people with serious underlying health conditions may be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. People who are asymptomatic can still possibly spread the COVID-19 virus, as well.
Guests should evaluate these factors and use their own discretion when determining whether to attend the Museum. By visiting the B&O Railroad Museum, guests acknowledge these factors and assume responsibility of the health risks associated with their attendance.
We ask that guests monitor their health and kindly reschedule their visits if they or anyone in their household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
What We’re Doing
MASKS
Masks are available upon request at the Admissions desk.
CLEANING
The Museum will be cleaned multiple times daily with special attention given to high-touch areas.
HAND SANITIZER
Extra hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout the Museum and personal travel-size bottles are available upon request.
RIDES
Train and kids’ rides will be cleaned after each ride.
JUNIOR JUNCTION
Our kids’ area is thoroughly cleaned throughout the day and is deep-cleaned each night.
