Parking:

Free off-street, on-site parking is located at 901 W Pratt Street for Museum visitors and reserved motorcoaches or buses during regular Museum hours. 


Driving Directions:

Located at 901 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland, 21223, the B&O Railroad Museum is approximately ten minutes from Baltimore’s popular Inner Harbor area and is easily accessible from Interstate 95 and the Baltimore Beltway, I-695. Entrance to the Museum grounds is located at the intersection of West Pratt Street and Poppleton Street. 

From the North (I-83, Towson, York, Harrisburg): I-83 (Jones Falls Expressway) south to St. Paul Street exit. Follow St. Paul St for 3 blocks. Make a right turn onto Chase Street, which becomes Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Follow MLK Blvd to Lombard Street and turn right. Follow Lombard Street for 3 blocks and make a left turn onto Poppleton Street at the first light. Follow Poppleton Street and cross over Pratt Street (the Museum entrance is straight ahead).

From the East (Delaware, New Jersey & New York): South on I-95 through the Fort McHenry Tunnel to Exit 53 to I-395 North. Follow signs to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Once on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, make left onto Lombard Street. Continue for three blocks and make a left turn onto Poppleton Street/Railroad Way and proceed south. The Museum’s entrance gate will be at the traffic light intersection of Poppleton Street and Pratt Street. 

From the West (Western Maryland): I-70 east to I-695 south to I-95 North. Take Exit 53 to I-395 North. Follow signs to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Once on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, make left onto Lombard Street. Continue for three blocks and make a left turn onto Poppleton Street/Railroad Way and proceed south. The Museum’s entrance gate will be at the traffic light intersection of Poppleton Street and Pratt Street. 

From the South (Washington): I-95 North to Exit 53 to I-395 North. Follow signs to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Once on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, make left onto Lombard Street. Continue for three blocks and make a left turn onto Poppleton Street/Railroad Way and proceed south. The Museum’s entrance gate will be at the traffic light intersection of Poppleton Street and Pratt Street.

Wonderful rail museum with many historic engines, passenger cars, mail car, troop transport, and more. Several models layouts including the Smithsonian collection of models which was amazing. Wonderful presentation on the underground railroad. We will visit again.
